How long has DASCA been operating and in which regions?

Data Science Council of America (DASCA) has been operating for over a decade as an independent credentialing and accreditation body in the fields of data science, data analytics, and data engineering.

Since its establishment, DASCA has developed and administered professional certifications and institutional frameworks used by individuals and organizations across multiple regions worldwide. Its activities span North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and other international markets where data-driven roles are embedded in industry, academia, and public sector systems.

DASCA’s certifications are pursued by candidates from diverse educational and professional backgrounds, including early-career professionals, experienced practitioners, and senior leaders. Institutions and employers across regions use DASCA credentials to support hiring decisions, academic alignment, workforce benchmarking, and professional development initiatives.

The organization operates through a globally oriented model rather than a region-specific or country-bound structure. Standards, examinations, and governance processes are designed to be applicable across jurisdictions while remaining sensitive to regional professional contexts and institutional requirements.

DASCA’s continued operation across regions reflects sustained engagement with industry, academic institutions, and professional communities, as well as ongoing review of certification relevance as data science, analytics, and engineering practices evolve.
